Prelim filming

These are some bits of short preliminary filming done today, these are planned to be the first two short clips for the trailer, the will be split up with text parts and will have gothic backing music to set the scene/mood.

Timeline

This is a video for the construction of our trailer timeline. It has key parts to the trailer marked out on the line with their rough timings. I made this using iMovie.

Background Info: Jac is a student in the local college, studies history, history fanatic and is very interested in the patients of Broadmoor Hospital. Commanderes a group of people to investigate a recent patients whereabouts after his escape.

Background Info: A music fanatic and has strong interest in gothic fashion and SFX makeup, studies photography and media at local college, the first person asked to take part in this group set up by Jac.

Storyboard

Below are all the shots in order for our storyboard, i used a whiteboard to draw them. These will be used on our animatronic storyboard video.

I like the semiotics within your trailer and the storyline works. The heart beat and some SFX are effective. Editing is very limited and there are only long shots - this barely hits band 2 for construction. There is no variation of pace or camera shots. Break down the structure of some RMAs and revisit your storyboard. Hearing the audio would be good too.

Test Shots/Photos from filming sessions

These are just some test shots that Harry took for the location of the trailer for when we film it. As you can see the main location/area of the filming will be taking place in some form of woods (these are the woods near our school but we may change to a different one as many others are attempting the same location) and we believe that this will be an effective location because woods or woodland areas are a very typical setting for a horror film and trailer. One idea we have in mind is to place the killer (in these shots) in the distance in these shots or hiding behind one of the trees displayed in most

of the shots. With these test shots you can see we have a variety of different types of shots so that we can have a much more interesting looking final product with the trailer. If this becomes the final location or the permanent location when we begin to film for the trailer we obviously will have to consider the lighting as we will be in a dark location as it is and its beginning to become darker much earlier so this could possibly pose a problem but it should still be viable.
