Dear moderator
My brief for this A2 project was to create a promotional package for a horror trailer. I was in a group with Harry and we both worked together to create the final products (trailer, poster, magazine cover). I focused more on the construction of the poster and magazine cover in serif and publisher, along with the screen play for the trailer, then split the camera work with Harry so that we both got a good amount of time filming. Please use the labels to navigate around my work, hope you like it.

Final Poster
This is our final poster. We moved the main tag line below themovie name. We did this so that the main movie title was the key focus of the poster and the main part that caught peoples eyes. We then changed the release date of the film to 'March 24th' so that it is more specific and informative to people wanting to know when the film is released. 1) In what ways does your product use, develop, and challenge media forms and conventions?

Evaluation Feedback
Q1 Wix: Be more technical, e.g frames, composition, etc, use conventions.
Good form of ICT used
Dont use voice over instead, too many
Q2 Prezi: Difficult to read
Link to question 1
Killers mask bit is good
Use of red is short, link it back to brief + how it creates a promotional package
Q3 Voicethread: Try split screen?
Lots of info on text on one set of feedback
Too much focus on how you did it, lots of waffle
Q4 Video: Good visuals + images
Good key term, r.e serif - at end for purpose of trailer
Audio interesting, need to be routed in how it benefited your classwork

Draft 5 poster
This is our final poster. The change made was that Harry changed the colour of the 'Feared' writing to white to ensure we have synergy across our products.
Draft cover 7
This is our final cover. We added in more text improvements to make the cover more full with information.

Draft cover 6
This is the final draft of our magazine cover. The final change made was that I added in a banner at the bottom as me and Harry discussed what needed to be added to make it look less like a film poster.
Magzine draft 5
This is the fifth draft of our magazine cover. This features the main photo that we edited but its a little bit smaller. Me and Harry had a discussion on what to change from the previous draft of the cover. We made the 'final cut' bigger to make it the main focus of the cover. Then we had links in the different colouring of the writing.

Magazine Draft 4
This draft has a few little changes done to it. I made the out February smaller, then moved it down, I then moved the feared text down and the mask down making the mask less 'cramped' between text.

Poster draft 4
This is a fourth draft of our magazine cover. This one has a new photo of which Harry took. We adjusted and experimented with different lighting. Once we got a good lighting spot i held the light whilst Harry took the photo. We added in all new font styles and a different magazine name. The next draft will have more text added like movie reviews.

Work Plan for rest of ancillary and evaluation
My deadline for my ancillary is Monday, and for evaluation is Friday. Due to issues with the program, our magazine cover cannot be worked on at home due to the software not opening it. Due to this I've decided to start planning parts to my other evaluation questions i have to do for Friday so that i can get ahead with that instead. I plan to use a voice over video, a feedback video, and a Prezi for my remaining questions left to do, however these technologies may change.
Poster draft 3
This is our third draft poster. The main changes ive made are that the 'Feared' text has been slightly adjusted so that it isnt as close to the masks chin as it was before. The other change is that the release date text has been added in the same font as the rest of the main text on the poster to give consistency to the text font which makes the poster look more 'complete'. I put a gap between the 'Feared' and the 'Out February' to make it noticeable that they are separate bits of text as if the are close they look like they are connected due to the font.
Poster draft 2
This is our second poster draft. The differences with this poster to the first draft are that the 'Feared' text has been move up and more text has been added to the bottom of the poster. This text basically states the companies name, the directors, actors, and film website. I noticed all of our R.M.A's included this text.
Poster first draft
This is the first draft of our poster. After me and Harry chose an appropriate font for the writing I added and positioned the main text of the poster. We went for a blood themed font to go with the blood on the mask. The other text of the release date will be added on the next draft along with actors names.

Magazine draft 4
This is an updated magazine cover. We rearranged a few bits of the text by rearranging the magazine title text to make it more straight, and made the feature article title more slanted.

Magazine cover draft 3
This is the third draft of our magazine cover. I have changed all the writing to be 3D and have made the title of the magazine different as the previous title style was from an already established magazine brand and the photo of the logo was hard to link with everything else and looked out of place. I chose 'Magula' as it links to horror by being a link of the words magazine and dracula. The photo was shot by Harry.
Magazine cover draft 2
This is the second draft of our magazine cover. I have done a lot of rearranging of text and changing the font styles. I have mainly changed the main film name font in making it more eye catching so that people know that this is the main feature article of th magazine. I have also changed the layout of the '2014 movie preview' section to the bottom of the page, however I have kept the yellow and black colouring to symbolise a warning sign theme which furthermore makes it eye catching and appealing to the target market. The photos that we shot for the purposes of this cover were done by Harry.
Mrs D
Your magazine front cover is problematic regarding the integration of text layout and image. You need to make your main film - the one you have created a trailer for - stand out regarding text style and font. You also need to think how you are creating a comprehensive advertising package and get your photos sorted asap.
